Are you dreaming of a vacation in Sicily with your little ones at a typical Sicilian estate with a family atmosphere, a daily breakfast buffet featuring local ingredients, and a small on-site restaurant that cooks exclusively with regional and seasonal produce? The owner family still produces “dolci fatti in casa” – homemade cakes and other sweets, jams, and homemade bread, served with local cheeses like “ragusano,” milk, juices, coffee, fruit, and much more. Upon request, we can organize organic fruit and vegetables for guests from a nearby farm.
Whether splashing in the large pool or playing hide-and-seek among the old olive and carob trees, this beautiful family-friendly accommodation in the deep south of Italy is the perfect place for an unforgettable family vacation in Sicily. Harmoniously nestled in a lovely landscape between the crystal-clear sea and ancient noble villas with mature trees.
The property has preserved its original charm. Local materials were used in the renovation and furnishing. The estate radiates a unique character and reflects the authentic charm of 20th-century farmhouses.
Baglio means courtyard, and this is the heart of the estate. The former stables and storage rooms, where carob, grain, and straw were once kept, have been converted into 8 lovingly furnished apartments.
Some units have a small private garden, and every apartment is individually furnished down to the smallest detail.
The estate includes a well-stocked library, a children's playground, a bocce court, table tennis, a vegetable garden, and a refreshing pool. On the well-maintained grounds with lawn areas, there are also numerous opportunities for walks along paths and nature trails.
Would you like to get to know Sicilian cuisine better? The owners offer themed Sicilian cooking classes in small groups.
For families with children, the estate is a top choice for a holiday in Sicily. The spacious grounds offer plenty of room for children to play and run around, there is a pool and a playground, and all rooms are suitable for at least two people. Extra beds and cots are also available.
